July 4th Fun
We've been having lots of summer fun the past few weeks. Amy went to a Bible Study at a friend's house (her mom lead the study of John). Brooke and Christina have been going to swimming lessons for two weeks. Brooke learned to swim without holding her nose and Christina learned to swim with her face in the water - lots of progress for both! We celebrated the 4th with some of Neal's family at Nana and Grandaddy's. The kids and dads camped out in the yard on the 3rd.
The most exciting (well, sort of) event was that my mom, dad and grandparents were in a car accident on the evening of July 2nd. I spent the night with Grandpa in the emergency room while he was being scanned for a cracked sternum. Dad (who walked away fairly unscathed) spent the night in a DIFFERENT emergency room with Grandma and Mom. They are all bruised and very sore, but mostly ok. They narrowly avoided a head-on collision. As Dad said "the Lord must have been driving because I ain't that good."
Here are some pictures of our summer fun and not-so-fun. Unfortunately, I didn't take a single picture of swimming lessons or our visit from Jennifer, Lydia, Nathan, and Thomas last week (more cousin time!). Oh well! Sometimes it's good to just live the moment instead of trying so hard to preserve it.
Sophie (mom's new car) will never be the same.

Glad they are all safe!
Love those angels who watch out for us.
I know you have been busy. I have been trying your "live the moment" attitude (I remember you telling me that months ago!). I decided not to take my camera to Lake Hartwell last week. I still ended up with pictures because my friend made me a disc:) I enjoyed and still got pictures! The best of both worlds. Looking forward to camping. Hope the weather stays mild!
