First Field Trip

This was not our first field trip. This picture is from our visit to the State Capitol back in May for the PWS Declaration signing. A friend just sent it to me. I had no idea she had it. Neal and I were in the front of the group as we left the governor's office and looked back for Christina and she joined us a few minutes later from the back of the group. Unbeknownst to us, she had been hob-nobbing with Governor Perdue!

This isn't our first field trip, either. This is the first science experiment. Neal (aka the Mr. Spradlin the science and math teacher in the Spradlin Family Homeschool) is having as much fun as the girls. There is definitely a teacher inside of him that's just been waiting to be let loose.

THIS is from our first field trip today to the Atlanta History Center. This is the Swan House. We didn't have time to tour the inside of the house, but will definitely go back to do it soon. We spent all our time in the history center checking out the exhibits on Olympic history, Atlanta history, Civil War history and Native American history. An amazing place!
We went with the Hamricks and Aunt Nancy (aka Nancy Navigator - she helped Alicia with the directions to the history center - quite a few turns from I-85). We have monthly field trips planned with them this year. Today was a fantastic start! This was taken outside of the Tullie Smith Farmhouse which we also didn't have time to go inside of - again, we are definitely going back!
