Tellus Museum

On Friday, the Spradlin Family Homeschool (SFHS) went on the road to the Tellus Museum in Cartersville. It is a marvelous place!

They have life-sized replicas of dinosaurs created from the real dinosaur bones. Each exhibit identifies the location where the bones were found.

Lots of dinosaurs.

Even sea creature sorts of dinosaurs - this is the one that the fabled Lochness monster was supposed to be.

Outside, there is this (and two other smaller vehicles).

From our pictures, you would think that dinosaurs are the only exhibit at the museum, but there is much, much more. There is hands-on area with exhibits on light, sound, electricity and weather; a transportation exhibit with vintage cars to rockets; a mineral gallery; and a planetarium with several shows to choose from. We spent six hours there and joined the museum so we can go back. It was a great, educational, fun family Friday.
Check it out for yourself at www.tellusmuseum.org.
